NMAT tips

I know I promised a Batangas post (as if you really keep track of the things I promise), but in the past two days there have been about four people chatting me up on Facebook to ask about the NMAT. So perhaps this post would be of greater interest to the general public (as if I really care about the interests of the general public). I took the December 2012 NMAT (the earliest option for me) because my parents told me I should. They made me take it that early because they said it was to prepare me for the April 2013 NMAT, which I thankfully don't need to take anymore because I got a score of 99+. And yes, I have to mention my score here, because in the words of my friend Mike, it gives me "the right" to share my NMAT tips. Frequently Asked Questions 1. How long did you review? Two weeks before the test. I know that Cheryl and Karl, my two other friends who got 99+, reviewed only two weeks prior as well. But those two weeks include time that I spent at school, and...

that awkward moment when you don't know which college to pick

Hello, incoming freshman who visited my blog thinking that this post would be about the 2011-2012 ACET results! (You're partly correct in thinking that anyway, so give yourself a pat on the back!) It looks like you're at that junction in your senior life where all the entrance exam results of any Philippine college that matters have been released, and you find yourself in a happy, confused daze. But now what?     It's thinking-about-college tiemz, that's what! If you haven't decided on a school and on a course yet, then that's okay, because you've got until March to do so anyway (because that's usually the time when colleges start finalizing - ugh, "finalizing"; Strunk, White and Mr. Pulan would disapprove  - their list of enrollees). However, it is ...

an admission, and an SOS

Hello dear reader. Before you proceed any further in my blog, I have something important I really need to tell you. I'm not a fun person. I'm not interesting, or extraordinary, or anything . I'm the exact opposite of all that. I'm a very very very boring and unremarkable teenager. And no, I'm not being sarcastic, or even fishing for compliments. Because this is the truth. It's the reality of my life, and I thought that it just wouldn't be right leading you on. So, hello. My name is Aimee, nickname, Bea. I lead an uninteresting life for now, but I'm moving to Manila in a few weeks' time, so try checking this blog by then and maybe I'll have something even remotely stimulating to offer you guys. . . . If you're wondering, by the way, what took me so long to "come out of the boring closet," well it's just that in the past two days I've gotten two invitations to go to the movies in Limketkai Mall. One from my friends from the R...
