The Mind Museum

Second sem grades came out today, and I did better than I had hoped! Hopefully all the hard work I put into this semester will be enough to get me into the Dean's List. Then I can get out of doing the dishes today heeheehee Yeah, I'm back home now. I have been for about six days. That means I've got a little over a week of vacation left, but I don't mind. So far it's been going fine. Like yesterday, I finally tried my hand at cooking. Well, if frying luncheon meat and making an omelette counts as cooking. Okay  it's no fine dining, but I bet Rachel Ray started out frying meatloaf and eggs too. (The fact that the best chef I can name off the top of my head is Rachel Ray should give you a good estimate of how much I know about the cooking world.) Anyway, last Saturday, my block threw Deo a very late birthday surprise (his birthday was back in November) at The Mind Museum in Taguig! It had opened just that week. (Click any photo to enlarge!) We all put on De

Lately I've been in a constant state of boredom, what with my Smart Bro deserting me and all. Being the chronic procrastinator that I am, I have been trying to find creative ways to entertain my Internetless self. You will not believe the lengths I will go to just to avoid studying. Two nights ago, out of sheer idleness, I rummaged through my laptop looking for some fun pictures to look at. The next day, I showed them to Rap, and going through them made us both happy. So to anyone who wants to waste time with me, here are some of those pictures: Me and my dad on Christmas day, playing with the awesome yellow cash register Santa gave me! A panel from a comic strip Rap and I collaborated with. It was called Soaperman and Sipilyo Ranger, and it taught kids proper hygiene! Me and Mike, first day of school!:D Block XX, on the last day of OrSem. First block party - Tin's 18th birthday! Patigasan 2010 - the Health Sciences Society's sportsfest! This is A

THE END IS SO NEAR. VACATION IS FIVE DAYS AWAY. And instead of devoting my last breaths as a Sophomore to mind-numbing, mega intense studying, here I am in an uncomfortable sitting position in my swelteringly hot dorm lobby, absorbing Wi-fi from the restaurant next door. I don't know why I do this to myself.  Anyway, my life has been a flurry of activity in the past few weeks, starting with my roommate Jean and I finally closing the deal on this new condo unit we'll be living in, starting May.  This is an old ad. We've found our two roommates already! (And I just noticed the typo.) I'm pretty excited. I can't wait to start moving in my stuff. I'll finally be able to eat at an actual table!  Oh yeah, speaking of housing matters, a good number of people have been asking me about dorm recommendations. Sadly I have only ever lived in Dormitoryana, which means I cannot give a fair review about other places. So if you still want to know what it's like here,

I'll just cut the usual "I'm so sorry I haven't been updating" blather, because I HAVE BEEN BUSY AS HECK and I don't need to apologize for that. If anything, the universe should apologize to me for taking away my free time!!! Kidding. Please don't smite me and take my food :c Last Saturday Instead of NSTP, I  went with my friends Jules and AC to an event called Celebrate Life Program, organized through a partnership between Kythe Ateneo and Musikero  (<-- click that!). We went to the children's cancer ward in a public hospital somewhere in Quezon City and we put on a musical skit for the kids. I had a pretty tiny role in the story; all I had to do was play the guitar when it was time for the main characters to sing. But I loved my part thoroughly. When we started performing, a lot of the kids didn't bother with what we were doing, but a few of them were very enthusiastic about participating. They volunteered and exclaimed and everything! W
