NMAT tips

I know I promised a Batangas post (as if you really keep track of the things I promise), but in the past two days there have been about four people chatting me up on Facebook to ask about the NMAT. So perhaps this post would be of greater interest to the general public (as if I really care about the interests of the general public). I took the December 2012 NMAT (the earliest option for me) because my parents told me I should. They made me take it that early because they said it was to prepare me for the April 2013 NMAT, which I thankfully don't need to take anymore because I got a score of 99+. And yes, I have to mention my score here, because in the words of my friend Mike, it gives me "the right" to share my NMAT tips. Frequently Asked Questions 1. How long did you review? Two weeks before the test. I know that Cheryl and Karl, my two other friends who got 99+, reviewed only two weeks prior as well. But those two weeks include time that I spent at school, and

YAY it's FINALLY summer and I can finally get back to blogging! I've missed this so much. There's so much I want to write about right now, but I'll get started with this: my first visit to Binondo. About two weeks ago, my Philosophy professor, Dr. Antonette Angeles, invited her students on a trip to Binondo. We had planned for this trip to happen ever since June, but it never actually materialized until two weeks ago (or was it three?). On the day itself, the class attendance ended up being just Elise, Migs, Nathan, and me. But we still turned out to be a big crowd, since Ma'am Angeles brought her family with her, along with two Japanese professors. Going there, the "young ones" rode

that time of the year

Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no. It's happening again. It's that confusing time of the semester when you're so extremely close to the end but not quite there yet, and you still have the energy to study some more but it's becoming increasingly more difficult to pack any more knowledge into your goddamn summer-soaked brain. What little room in there that you had reserved for thesis statements and formulas and stupid philosophical statements is now slowly filling up with thoughts of seawater, sand castles, and cities that start with the letter B (Batangas, Boracay... Seriously guys, there are other vacation spots out there !). Yes. It's that time of the year. My next (and last) exam is happening on Thursday, which means I have one and a half days to prepare for it.  So now I'm looking at my notes and trying to read them, and I'm telling myself, "It's just a review of what you already know!" But in my mind, no more gears are shifting. No more whee
