that time of the year

Oh no. Oh no oh no oh no. It's happening again. It's that confusing time of the semester when you're so extremely close to the end but not quite there yet, and you still have the energy to study some more but it's becoming increasingly more difficult to pack any more knowledge into your goddamn summer-soaked brain. What little room in there that you had reserved for thesis statements and formulas and stupid philosophical statements is now slowly filling up with thoughts of seawater, sand castles, and cities that start with the letter B (Batangas, Boracay... Seriously guys, there are other vacation spots out there !). Yes. It's that time of the year. My next (and last) exam is happening on Thursday, which means I have one and a half days to prepare for it.  So now I'm looking at my notes and trying to read them, and I'm telling myself, "It's just a review of what you already know!" But in my mind, no more gears are shifting. No more whee...

S05E01 - "First Day of Classes"

I did some mental counting in my head and I decided that if each semester I've spent in Ateneo were a whole TV series season, then this one will have been my fifth, and today will have counted as Episode 1. But I should probably cut back on the TV series analogies. My life isn't nearly as interesting as Christine Campbell's . (That may or may not be a good thing. I don't know.)       Woke up bright and early and ate a breakfast consisting entirely of two Presto peanut butter cookies. I feel so healthy right now! NOT. But hey, at least I walked to my classroom! After taking a trike to JSEC. u_u          First class of the day was at 7:30, Cell Mol, which is short for Cellular and Molecular Biology. Our teacher seemed nice. She let us off "early" (i.e. at 10:30 instead of 11:30). After that I went with AC, Rap, Jules, and Deo to do the usual start-of-the-season errands... ID validation and the like.    ...

a delayed season finale

Hello blogdom! I'm back, after a long, lazy hiatus. Finals week was crazy, but you don't really need to know about the gory details of my Math and Chemistry exams. However, this might be more interesting to you:         Dear friends, may I present to you Eng/Lit M02, my English block, with our teacher, the elusive Mr. Max Pulan. This was taken after our rendition of Nick Joaquin's, "Portrait of an Artist as Filipino," and it was the very last thing I did as an official freshman. It was perfect too, because our play was held at the end of the day at the end of the week at the end of Belarmine hall. And the weather was cold. And the people were wonderful. I couldn't have asked for a better way to end my freshman year. . . .     I got home last Saturday, and ever since then I've been doing nothing but fermenting on my bed on the Internetz. Sorry about the delay in posting; I rekindled my love affair with Tetris Battle...
