blogging when you have a post lab report due in four hours

How's this for frequent updating, huh? :D Okay, yes, I have something better to do at the moment (a post-lab report which is due in five hours) but I figured I'd take a break from... whatever it was I was doing before I wrote this (procrastinating) to update my blog. (If I am putting off procrastinating does that mean I'm doing work, or slacking off even more?) Not much has happened since my last post (which was only two days ago), but there were a lot of things I forgot to mention in my previous entry. These are conversations, mighty interesting ones at that, that I keep going back to in my mind recently. For instance, Cheryl , Jules, Arthur and I were once talking about The Sims, and about all the things we made our Sims do. Then we talked about how God might be controlling us in the same way we control our Sims. Like, you know how you can walk into a room and then forget what you were supposed to do there? That's God clicking Cancel on your action. And then we ...

talking 101

Probably the best thing about being in Ateneo is (are?) the people you meet, because Ateneo is a hodgepodge of interesting people. Ateneans come in all shapes and sizes, and with such a huge range of interests, abilities, and personalities, the campus is a melting pot of different voices, different backgrounds, different ambitions and dreams and goals.      Now I'm not exactly an extrovert (my Myers-Briggs personality type indicator tells me I'm 10 points shy of being one), but I'm finding it easier and easier to talk to people now more than ever. Well, I CAN talk, but I can’t carry a conversation. I mean, I can, but only with my close fr...

the la la land appeal

Tonight my friend Jason texted to ask me if I've confirmed my slot in University of Santo Thomas. Haha! (Most of my friends still think I'm going to UST and taking MedTech, when in fact I'm going to ADMU and taking Health Sciences.) I wonder how long I can keep this up for. Maybe I'll keep it a secret for as long as possible over the summer, so that when it's time to go to school, poof! Surprise, surprise! I'm an Atenean after all. :) Which reminds me of something Ma'am Sabuero, my school's guidance counselor, told me a couple of months back. When I told her I was having a tough time picking between UP and ADMU, she said that she'd much rather have me studying in ADMU. She said that the Ateneo is a lot safer than UP... Another way of saying that UP is full of drug addicts and bugoys. Today as I picked up my Certificate of Good Moral Character, I told her that I'm finally sticking with ADMU. "See?" she said. "It was really m...
