banana milkshakes and Biochem

Image
Yesterday I woke up feeling rather crafty. So instead of my new usual breakfast of milk and cereal, I toasted some bread and put butter, jam, and bananas on it. And if you're thinking, "WTH that sounds lame" then oh my friend you are so wrong. Because it was the ultimate best sandwich that my taste buds have ever had the pleasure of tasting.  Just kidding, it was just another sandwich. The sad thing is this is the most effort I've ever put into making breakfast. Later that day I got to work on that Biochemistry game project I mentioned previously. I came up with a design  for the back of our playing cards: I find the biomolecules floating around in the back kind of cheezy,  but I'm too lazy to think of a better way to incorporate those darn molecules into this design.  Rap said it looks like old-school bubblegum packaging. . . . Today I went to a Biotechnology conference in school. In a nutshell, the purpose of the conference was to bring in ...

Biochem

I wish I had my old phone back. Yes, the one I stupidly left in a taxi in my rush to catch my flight home last December.  I hate that December. Now I'm using the phone I had back in first year high school, and it can't upload things to computers. Hence the decline in my posting of pictures from my daily life. (I do have my DSLR birthday camera, but I don't like bringing it around everyday. Who does that [apart from people whose job it is to do that]?) Anyway. Yesterday I had a Biochem exam, which I did okay at. I skipped my Environmental Sciences class to cram for that test too, and I'd like to think it paid off a little. There was a logic part of the test where you had to figure out the right order of amino acids based on a bunch of clues. I really enjoyed that part, actually. I felt like Nancy Drew, racing against the clock to figure it out. :)) After that... had a Game of Thrones marathon and some mushy, caramely bananas with ice cream slept like a b...

dizzy days

Image
Lately I've been in a state of dizziness, and I say this in a strictly literal sense. I opened my eyes one morning to find my bedroom spinning wildly. Then I wobbled my way over to school, where my Environmental Sciences test paper wouldn't stand still. The doctor at the AdMU clinic says it's an allergy-related thing. If it were, then that would suck a lot, because I don't know what I'm allergic to. I got a second opinion from the doctor at Loyola Grand Villas (thanks to the Abacan family), and she said it might have something to do with skipping meals, or the heat, or my low blood pressure. She also said it had nothing to do with my allergies. Now I don't know who to believe. But whatever the cause of my vertigo is, I'm still feeling it right now, which makes today the third in a series of dizzy days. Anyway, I'm almost halfway done with summer classes, and May couldn't come sooner. The April heat is killing me, and I'm extremely jealous of...
