Gurio
It's been a while since I last blogged (more than a month, to be exact) and I feel pretty bad about it. I told myself at the start of this blogging venture that I wouldn't neglect my Blogspot like I did my first blog (it was on Friendster, lasted me a good four years, and got deleted when Friendster Blogs ceased to exist). But here I am, already six months into the year, churning out blog posts at a measly average of 2 posts per month. (For reference sake, what I used to be able to write in one month now takes me six months.)
I've been slow on the updates, and no it's not because I've been busy. In fact I've got a lot of free time on my hands (no classes on MWF, no classes in the mornings). Life is sweet. And mind you I'm not taking all this sweet, sweet time for granted. I've been watching Friends reruns (currently waiting for Ross's wedding to finish downloading!), working on my design projects, reading for Philo, jogging, and of course doing thesis work. So I haven't been extremely busy, but it's not like I'm being idle, either.
When my parents read this I'm sure they're gonna shake their heads and go "sus!" ("sus" being the Bisaya equivalent of "tsk"). They think I'm being a lazy bum. And you know what, it's days like these that make me think they're not wrong.
This morning, I woke up at 7:30 because the sky was too bright. Because it's a Friday and I don't have any class, I shut my eyes and tried to go to bed. But I couldn't. So I just lay in there for like an hour or so, trying to distract myself enough to trick myself into falling asleep (this never works).
And so I got up and checked on my Friends download. According to BitTorrent it would take me 1w7d before I'd get to see Ross get married to Emily (and famously make the mistake of calling her Rachel! Aaah!). So I had oatmeal and chocolate for breakfast.
Dear Lord, I'm boring myself so much just remembering all of this. Now I really do feel like going back to sleep.
Anyway, it's 11:15 AM right now and I'm just killing time until my thesis group and I go to meet up with some purok leaders in Barangay Holy Spirit.
So I've been trying to do some plates for my basic design class, but I don't have any idea what to do about it. In a nutshell, I'm supposed to draw animals, houses, plants, and vehicles and then make symbols for them. But the trick is that the symbol cannot resemble the animal/house/plant/vehicle in any way. So I'm stumped.
Speaking of my design class, here's what I've done so far: attempted to convey emotions using basic shapes.

That's about all I have to say for now, except holy shnikes have you tried Go! Salads? It's a new little store that sells salads at P100 in front of Moonleaf, near KFC. I'm not a super salad lover myself but wow I'm always craving for their Wild Wild West! It has chicken in it to appease meat lovers like me. What's really awesome too is that they're located pretty near where I live (and close at 10PM!), so I can easily turn to them for a healthy dinner instead of having nasty KFC takeout again.
And no, Go! Salads did not pay me to say this. They should, though.

Sus!
