summer in CDO

It's summer, and tons of bikini pictures from my friends' vacations have been popping up on my Facebook news feed. I remember when I was a freshman (wow that was two years ago) and my new friends and I somehow got to talking about swimwear. I said, "Why do girls let people see themselves in bikinis? They provide about as much coverage as underwear." "Why, what do you wear to the beach?" they asked me. "A one-piece," I said.  They looked at me like O___O (Let it be known henceforth that these friends were all guys.) And then they explained to me that bikinis were sort of the standard in Manila. Everyone wore one. Everyone, even the people I had thought were conservative dressers.          This was news to me because I had previously thought that bikinis were for, well, sluts . schedule, and amazing news

So today was enlistment for freshmen. I got fencing as my PE! Not bad, I think, considering I was in the last batch, and people from the last batch hardly ever get any good PE's. So, anyway, onto the good news: My mom called the BPI Foundation earlier and told them what my QPI was, and they said that it passes their requirements for my scholarship! But turning my schedule into something cheery and colorful - that took an hour and forty-five minutes. :) (click picture for high-def... if you wanna... you don't have to.) Everything's looking pretty good, except for Monday. Ugh. Four straight hours of Chemistry! Torture! What I love is that the very first class I'll be having on M-W-F mornings is English. And then Literature! Woohoo! And check out my Wednesday. Only two classes in the morning and then it's FREEDOM all the way! . . . Oh yeah. About my P.E. I really wanted running, and I was ecstatic to see that there was a slot left. But when I clicked the "enlist" button, it turns out somebody had beaten me to it. Grrr. So now it's Tai Chi. It wasn't a very hard decision to make, actually. There were very few P.E.'s left that still had slots availabl...
