      This week was wonderful partly because it was punctuated with two holidays. You know how, when you're driving in the middle of a crazy downpour and the rain is just so noisy on the roof of your car that you can barely hear yourself think, when you go into a tunnel everything just becomes so suddenly still and quiet? And when you drive out the end of the tunnel, the rain comes crashing down again on your roof. Those two days were like being in the tunnel: sudden, temporary, silence.       And thank God that there isn't an exam to study for on Monday, because now I can spend my weekend gathering my bearings instead of scrambling to memorize names of enzymes and co-enzymes.        Not that the workload this week has been particularly hectic. I just got back from Eastwood with Rap where, obviously, we watched Pacific Rim. Rap has been excited about this movie ever since he first heard of it because 1.) it has giant robots 2.) it has giant monsters and 3.) it has Charlie Day. And for me, my first thoughts after seeing the trailer were 1.) that it was just another robot movie 2.) that it was just another monster movie and 3.) that Rap would want to see it. Okay, I'm really tired from a day of Physiology so I'm just gonna cut to the chase. If you haven't seen the movie yet, proceed with caution because I'll be posting spoilers.        Rarely do I ever have a Saturday morning with nothing to do. Usually I have Epidemiology class with the rest of my batchmates. Today was an exception; Doc Wong gave us the day off to work on our thesis proposals. I think it was also his way of sparing us from the infamous ACET traffic jam. Okay it doesn't look too bad here. But it's pretty bad inside campus.        I thought I'd enjoy a morning off but surprisingly, I got bored pretty fast doing nothing in the condo.
