      This week was wonderful partly because it was punctuated with two holidays. You know how, when you're driving in the middle of a crazy downpour and the rain is just so noisy on the roof of your car that you can barely hear yourself think, when you go into a tunnel everything just becomes so suddenly still and quiet? And when you drive out the end of the tunnel, the rain comes crashing down again on your roof. Those two days were like being in the tunnel: sudden, temporary, silence.       And thank God that there isn't an exam to study for on Monday, because now I can spend my weekend gathering my bearings instead of scrambling to memorize names of enzymes and co-enzymes.        Not that the workload this week has been particularly hectic. My friend Mariel asked me to make a poster containing blood facts for Bloody Heal (a play on "bloody hell," if you didn't notice), the Health Sciences Society blood drive. It was a really bad four days for me, what with my laptop and its perpetual lagging, but here's what I have to show for it. wanting to do one thing but then chickening out and doing another thing

I'm back! Now, where did I leave off? Oh yeah. Wednesday       I stayed up until 4 AM, thanks to the annoying errors in Adobe Premiere that kept popping up whenever I tried to export the file as a .avi. If there's one thing I learned from my previous experience editing videos, it's that if something can go wrong, it WILL go wrong. (And in hindsight, everything I had expected to fail did actually fail.)       So I spent the day with that fuzzy feeling you get in your brain whenever you lack sleep. I don't remember much of what happened that day, but I do recall myself extolling God when our chemistry teacher said that the quiz he had planned to give us that day would be moved to next Wednesday. PERFECTO. I guess Murphy's Law doesn't apply to everything after all.      When I got back to the dorm, I got a text from Deo congratulating me on getting the part of a donya in our Lit 14 play.
