the perils of

I just finished reading Haruki Murakami's Norwegian Wood . I loved it. I'm not about to write a review of it, but I just wanted to write for the sake of releasing these weird feelings of... I don't even know. Melancholy? Shock? Joy? A little back story: I've been searching for a cheap copy of the book for some years now. It goes for around P600 (if I'm not mistaken) at Fully Booked (and presumably, in all the other commercial bookstores). It only occurred to me last week that I could borrow it from the Rizal Library. Which I did. On Friday morning I found myself by my lonesome, what with all my friends at immersion and all (yeah, the few friends I had just had to go on immersion on the same day). It was the perfect time to get started on Norwegian Wood, but I had just finished Abundance of Katherines the night before and I didn't want to move on just yet. NSTP re-orientation at eight in the morning with the entire Health Sci batch! :) And Lafi! n_n Went around the photocopying places in Ateneo to get readings for stuff. GRAHHH photocopying is so frustrating, and I'm not even the one doing the actual copying.  Lunch with Jeth, Jules, and Cheryl in the caf. Jules actually opened up a little of himself to us today.  Checked out a unit in Berkeley. It had a really amazing view! But it was pretty darn tiny. And hot.  That's Katipunan on the left. I also heard this book will come in handy during NMAT season. Went back to Ateneo to do more errands. Mostly photocopy-related stuff again. Grr.  Went to Moonleaf and sat across the Freedom Board that was full of lame, "Faye wuz here 11-11-11 =))" kinds of notes. Why do people use Internet smileys on paper, anyway? I drew...

(Have you noticed that when you click the title of any of my blog posts, the tab you opened it with is gonna have the words, "the perils of: [blog title]" written on it? This one says "the perils of: a night out". Which I find pretty epic. That's why recently, I've been making sure to name all my posts with nouns. Yeah, useless information...
