a very lazily-written blog
30,000+ VIEWS!!! I'm guessing that about half of that came from my parents, and the other half is from search results for "college girl with no life outside the Internet and is pausing an episode of Game of Thrones right now to update her blog."
Is this good? 30k? Is that more or less than what an average blogger gets, considering this site has been up for two years already? That's not important, I guess. So let me just go ahead and celebrate this trivial little victory with a small pat on the back.
[pat on the back]
Done! Now on to some less trivial things.
I went to Cravings Katipunan for an unlimited breakfast with AC and Cheryl. Yay! I haven't talked to them in a while because of our differing schedules. Not being blockmates anymore suuuucks. Anyway I had beef tapa, while Cheryl had the longganisa and AC had pancakes. I enjoyed my food, and there was an endless supply of coffee to go with it. And unlimited Honey Stars, too. Classy. I brought my camera with me because I wanted to take pictures of my food friends but I stupidly forgot to bring my SD card. Why does that keep happening to me?
After breakfast, I walked to the Manila Observatory to check out the exemptions list for the Environmental Science finals. I found out that I got a B+ for ES! Yay. I don't need to take the test tomorrow, so basically now I'm a free bird. Aside from my Biochem project. Urgh.
The impeachment trial of Chief Justice Corona happened around this time, and I guess I should write about that now, but I really don't have anything to say about this. Instead, check out my friend Fred's very wise words (which I am posting here without his knowledge or consent): (click to enlarge his wisdom)
And that's about as far this blog will go to comment on a national issue: posting a screencap of someone else's comments. Thanks, Fred!
Oh, but I will say this: On behalf of the multitude of people in the Philippines who are NOT blubbering idiots, I apologize for the people who ARE blubbering idiots. Please don't let them keep you from doing another show here, Lady Gaga!
When I got back to the condo, my roommate Jean told me that she had some of the banana milkshake I made last night. I told her that it tasted weird, but she responded by kindly assuring me that it tasted all right and that not all banana milkshakes turn out yellow. Phew. :) I'd hate to think that my maiden voyage into the stormy seas of shake-making turned out to be a complete wreck (especially since milkshakes are one of the easist things to make in the world, and it would take a special kind of half-wit to screw that up).
I've got a lot of things in store for me this week. Tomorrow, my block is getting together for the usual sem-ender "meeting" at Albert's house. The day after that will be my last day in Manila (for the summer, at least), and I'll probably be spending it working on that accursed Biochem project. Grahhhh. Good thing I'm going home to CDO the day after that. I'll arrive just in time for a reunion with my high school classmates. It's the first time since my high school graduation that I'll be seeing the lot of them, can you believe that? And then on Saturday, I'll be turning nineteen! Oh my gosh, I feel so unprepared. How does one prepare for a birthday? I've had eighteen of them already and I still don't know what to do about them.
That's it for tonight. Here's to enjoying what's left of our summer. :)
