"Looks like someone went too magis on birthday cake."

This was one of three greeting cards that I made for design class. The catch was that I had to pretend like Ateneo hired me to design greeting cards for them. Yeah, I know the caption sucks. 

This is probably the first time I've ever actually illustrated something from scratch. Most of my previous work I based off pictures from the Internet. So this is a design milestone! Yay!

In other news, I've been meaning to read The Great Gatsby for a long time now. But I couldn't get my hands on a copy. The library's sole copy was missing, and it's too expensive to buy from bookstores (it sells for like P600. There was a version that was less than P300, but that was the freaking movie cover book. I avoid movie cover books).

Anyway, fortunately for me I found a copy that was only P90 at the Zeitgeist book sale in Ateneo! God bless you, book sales.

A snapshot of me today: Constantly thinking about my 6 baby succulents and worrying their health  On Chapter 38 of Pride and Prejudice Invited high school friends to a birthday party on Saturday. I have not had a birthday party with friends in a loooong time.  Strong thunderstorm hit at 12 AM, when it turned May 26. Interesting sign. We quit our jobs and traveled to Japan!

Like I mentioned in my last post, I got married!!! However, because of this stupid capitalist system that prioritizes worker productivity over well-being, we didn't have enough leaves saved up to go on a long enough vacation. So, we did something kinda crazy... And quit both our jobs at the same time.  I know, I know, it's such a stupid decision to both quit at the same time. But really, if we hadn't done it, when would we ever   have had the time to just go travel and enjoy our lives?! I had already consumed all my vacation leaves by going on my wedding and then our hometown reception, and Rap's work as an infirmary doctor did not allow him to take more than a couple days off at a time.  So, we quit. And, using some of the money we got as gifts from our wedding, we were able to spend 12 amazing days in Japan. Here's what we did. Singapore Day 2

Our agenda for this day: Universal Studios! Typically, the way to get to Universal is in a cable car that goes from Singapore to Sentosa Island. But that would've cost around 30 dollahs per person, and we were on a budget. So we took the cheaper alternative, the monorail. I think it was a 6-dollah trip, and that already included the return trip!   The view from the train. You can see the cable cars, they look like tiny little dots. Hah. Those suckers paid twenty six bucks to see the same view that we did!  The monorail stops first at Resarth World and then goes on to two more stops. You have to alight here to get to Universal Studios. Anyway! Everything looked sweet and yummy... ...Including me. Nyehehehe. (But that, my dear children, is considered cannibalism, and is frowned upon by most societies.)
