friends from home
Hello, blogdom.
I've just returned from a nice little "dinner" with Raul, who was a year ahead of me in high school and is now a year ahead of me in Ateneo. We talked about some really weird things, and I had a nice time, and I totally did not just accept his invitation to go out because I have trouble saying no to people. Hahaha! Thanks Raul!
Last night, I also went out with two of the nicest boys from Cagayan de Oro - Gerard and Jason (I mentioned them earlier, in this post). We hit Shakey's, failed at Dance Dance Revolution, and then spent the rest of the night talking about our lives from home.
They're great people, and hanging out with them makes me feel a lot closer to home. :)
Oh yeah, here are a couple of other things worth mentioning:

Oh yeah, here are a couple of other things worth mentioning:
- I was at National Book Store earlier tonight, and all of a sudden these two girls just walk up to me and ask me what school I go to. They seemed harmless enough, and so I chatted with them awhile. They told me that they were part of an org from UP offering free classes for the piano, drums, guitar, and the like, and they asked me if I was intersted in joining. I told them I was (hello, free drumming classes!), and so they invited me to attend a meeting this Sunday (tomorrow!) somewhere above Mag.net Cafe'. Me having trouble saying no to people, and also being the impulsive person that I am, I accepted, and they gave me their card. Turns out, it was a fellowship meeting I had just agreed to join, and those girls were from the UP C.R.E.E.D.
- Hello, Andy!
- I went to PARC (the Philippine Animal Rehabilitation Center) this afternoon, all prepared (with the proper documents!) to sign myself up as a volunteer. However, my trip seemed to be in vain, because the volunteer at the front desk (he was from Ateneo!) told me that the documents will be passed next Saturday, at the volunteer orientation which all people interested in volunteering are required to join. Not wanting to waste a perfectly good trip, I poked around the PAWS area a bit more to see what there was to see. The place smelled like animals and medicine, but all the cats and dogs around looked like they were being given some real TLC. There were some extremely fat cats there. :3
- If any of you guys are interested in helping out at PAWS, join the orientation next Saturday, November 20, from 10 AM to 1 PM at the PARC along Aurora Boulevard! :D For more details visit www.paws.org.ph :)
HAI AIMEE!!!
ReplyDeleteat PAWS, i'm afraid you might get bitten by those ex-stray dogs. what precaution is the org. taking against it?
ReplyDeletewhat is a fellowship seminar? U.P. Creed? what's that?
Hi Andy! Again!
ReplyDeleteMom: Actually, we're required to already have rabies shots. Haha. There's always the risk of getting scratched or bitten, but I highly doubt that they'll be pairing up newbies like me with the animals that have aggressive tendencies.
And hey're not responsible daw for any damage incurred by the animals. ._.
U.P. CREED Stands for University of the Philippines Catholic Whatever Whatever Whatever. Basta it's a religious org. I'll tell you about it over the phone nalang momster.
