week

Quick summary of week, and then I'm off to work on Chemistry powerpoint: (Yes, more pictures. They always come in handy when words escape me.) [all pictures clickable for a better view]

Wednesday was the Pre-Medical Society of the Ateneo's General Assembly (GA), and they gave out these "Happy Pills" which were really just gum. I'm guessing they did that so that we'd be more awake during the talks (which is basically what a GA is: a bunch of talks).

I don't know what day of the week I found this sign. All I know is that I went looking for dinner one night, and when I went into Reyes Barbecue across the dorm, there was this sign right here.
Last Friday, some of the Block and I went to Gateway mall to watch Inception. It was to be my second time riding an LRT (picture above), and I freaked out because the machine that dispenses tickets wouldn't accept my coins, all because they were shiny. Grr. Blockmate and fellow Bisaya Mariel had to come and help me out.
Inception's a good movie.

Imagine waking up to this sweet surprise. Thank you so much, Jean! :">

This was doodled somewhere in SEC-C. Again, Atenean vandalisms are just so much better than ordinary vandalisms.

I set out to explore the dorm yesterday, because in my whole two months of living here, I hadn't been anywhere besides the second floor and the front desk. And look what I found! A beautiful, beautiful roofdeck. Dormitoryana has four floors of rooms, and this was the fifth.

I found the "gym", which is actually just a cage-like enclosure filled with unused gym equipment. The picture below is the one they use in their website and brochures:

Here's the truth:

Yeah. Now you know. Now back to more roofdeck photos<3

There's Ateneo! In that picture above! You can see the top of the Manny V. Pangilinan building. And the face of the Rizal Library. Ahhh, it fills me with joy.

. . .

Oh, one thing I wasn't able to get a picture of: Isapelikula, the collective title of the Loyola Film Circle's filmmaking workshops. It was held Friday at 4:30, at the same time as the PMSA Newbie's Party. But Rap and I picked LFC over the party. Which, I'm regretting a bit, because I didn't learn anything new at the workshop. We just tackled the three stages of production (pre-prod, prod, post-prod) and then watched a bunch of short films!

At the PMSA party, there was speed dating, and food, and music, and food. And a balloon that looked like Deo! And an icing fight. And cupcakes <3

Yeah, anyway. I gotta go work on Chem. Or not. Rap's already kicking my butt at this contest we're having to see who finishes the required Filipino novel first. Gotta go! He's telling me right now, "Prepare to be slayed."

As if he's ever gonna beat me! But, I can't take any chances anymore, you know. Hahaha. See ya guys.

  6. Those happy pills reminded me of those that the Glee guys took before they sang "It's my life" mashed-up. Aww, Jean is so sweet. There are dark kit-kat na diay? that's great! Can't believe you just visited their gym after staying there for more than 2 months! are those equipments still in working condition? the rooftop looks so clean and breezy. Take care!

Momster: Oh yeah! Hahaha. That was a really cool episode.
Yeah, I know right. Jean is too nice. Haha I wonder how she'll react when (or if) she reads this. Yes, dark KitKats. SOOOOO GOOOOD Mom!
And, I didn't really "visit" the gym. More like, walked through it. It's not a gym! It's just a tiny, caged corner where they put equipment. Haha. I don't think they work. The only things there that work are the dumbbells, I think. Haha.

    Love you mom!
